bode is a very caged individual, but opens up to those he is closest with. he is very reserved and socially awkward due to his peculiar interest of being interested in marine life as a cat, which people poke fun at him about all the time. he's very bad at social cues, never speaking up unless his interests come into conversation. he can be quite volatile at times when people make fun of him, which causes him to get into frequent fights with people who know him and still make fun of him. bode loves fishing, despite all that he's made fun of for! his favorite fish is the coelacanth. bode expresses himself through the art of poetry, often venting in that way when he doesn't feel like hurting himself or fighting other people.

eris is commonly the life of the party, or the one who starts them! he loves interacting with people but shuts down if his social battery runs out. he loves to indulge himself and ramble on and on about his love life and the love he feels for his boyfriend, bode. despite this fact, eris is a very keen listener! always eager to hear one's stories or another to pass it on to another person. eris expresses himself in the way of painting, often painting his emotions away in canvas form. he has quite the dangerous habits when manic, often gambling his savings away to the drain and hurting himself much to his partner's dismay.

bode and eris first met at snackshot high school, where they first met when bode sheepishly asked eris for help on a test. eris kindly obliged, helping bode through the basics so he'd understand. bode and eris started hanging out soon after that, becoming best friends as time went on. they began to catch feelings for each other, gazes lasting too long on certain.. areas, and just general homoerotic tension beginning to brew between the two. one notable event happened in their dorm rooms during college, where a truth or dare session resulted in them realizing they had feelings for one another, a kiss lasting a bit too long between the two of them. the tension had been there for a while, but it peaked at this moment, the tension finally easing with said kiss. they became boyfriends after they talked about it, happiness and love blooming between the two of them.
